Search for Information on Medications

Interaction Search

Enter two items to search for possible interaction information. Medications may also interact with supplements, vitamins, and certain foods.

Important: Search results can be incomplete or misleading. Always confirm medication, supplement, or interaction concerns with a pharmacist, doctor, or qualified clinician.

Herbal & Supplement Information

Supplements and herbal products may help you manage your symptoms, but they can also interact with medications just like prescriptions.

Keep a Medicines List

Keeping an up to date list of your medications can make appointments safer and more efficient.

The BEDHEAD journal includes a dedicated medication list page you can update and bring to appointments. You can also print a Medications List off at:

Searching Medication Names Properly

Many medications have more than one name. The brand name is the name on the packet or used in advertising, while the active ingredient is the actual medicine doing the work.

Different websites may list medicines by active ingredient rather than brand name. If you cannot find what you need, try searching both.

Important: some brands contain the same active ingredient. Checking the ingredient can help you avoid accidentally doubling up on the same medicine.

Your prescription label, medication box, or patient leaflet will usually list the active ingredient.

Patient Experience & Community Insights

Clinical information explains how a medication is intended to work. Patient communities can sometimes help people understand day to day experiences, side effects, tolerability, and practical coping strategies.

Important: Patient reported experiences are not the same as medical evidence. A treatment that helps one person may not help another, and online reports can be incomplete, biased, or inaccurate.
